Daylight heat melter,
Sunshine an’ leaves swelter
Sunsets sumptuous,
Students fleein’
Swans rapturous,
Blirting wee yins
Look liftwart skysettin, find my sign,
Plough, Sisters and Orion
30th October
Find the inn,
Greet its grin
Far from sober,
Folk tunes aplenty
Note the bar sentry,
He kens the gentry
Twang of strings,
Drink like kings
Luck for the pool,
Wary the steamer’s stool
Win the pull,
31st October
Autumn nae more,
Leaves fall fest put to rest
What’s in store,
Darkness hae abundance
Air becomes merciless’t
Hing tae the crescent lunar dance,
Rooks squabble but prance
Back & forth amang the pines,
Forewarns such times
Tae which the halls critters dine,
Both canna rest withoot bawling croaks
The spooks wobble entrance the folks,
Far across the loch
It willna deter the flock,
