Oban Bay

Look at the shine on the sea

It’s the sign in the breeze

Just like when you dream

Feel it on your knees

It’s an otter on the rocks

It’s the wet on your socks

It’s the huge seagull flock

It’s getting wet when your hot

Wind blows like the wolf

Swim so it’s all like blue

Sting the whiskey in the stew

See the world as it is new

When you work on the docks

You’re lifting heavy blocks

You’re always ready for the knock

But you’ve got to believe in the lochs

Sunshine sets on the open bay

Sometimes it’s frozen hay

Alright let’s get some fish cray

Maybe go to church sing and pray

The buzz of the people

Is enough to see through

All the dark and light issues

Like they were when fishing

Isle of Mull, Lismore and Tiree

Sign of fun, it’s more in sight hee hee

Look at the gulls on the sea

Cook prawns, mussels and sardiney

Look at the shine on the sea

It’s the sign in the breeze

Just like when you say

Why yes that’s Oban Bay.
