Isle of Seil

Over a bridge in the sky

Time here may just fly

That’s just how you feel on the Isle of Seil

Look at the otters on the shore

Seagull party galore

Look at the school on the rocks

Enough water to fill our socks

Come across the bridge

And land in Tigh an Truish

The place where men become boys

And kilted men become decoys

From harsh reality living

It’s a long way to Drymen

But it’s far enough to drive

Not enough for the women

To get stuck in a place called Colintraive

Living next to the coast

This place sells the most

Scenery based surroundings

Full of green mountains

The sea is closer than your home

The breeze is colder than you know

The wind howls down your throat

The whales are loud here you know

Orcas and puffins know the good times

They’ll tell you how to keep going

Even when it gets near Balvicar

You’ll hear eagle flickers

Time for this island to go

Back to it’s old time so

you’ll know that’s where I am

That’s how I’m calm
